Six years ago, an unimaginable horror known as Tirek came to Equestria. His power was nigh impossible, requiring the Elements, the Lovers and the Alicorns all to pour their very souls into holding him. In their absence, Prince Blueblood took the crown. But, Blueblood's reign is simply a mask for the Guard's dictatorship, while rebels cling to the idea of a free republic and strange cults tout the value of freedom from any governance. With all this, why would anypony spare a thought for the comet that filled the night sky for weeks before falling?

Often the most overlooked race, the Earth Pony is actually much more powerful than it's given credit for. Whereas Pegasi and Unicorns focus their magic and muscle into their wings and horn, Earth Ponies distribute it more evenly throughout their bodies, which gives them a far greater advantage in physical tasks, especially in farming and other land-based activities.
While they lack the more blatant magic and intelligence of unicorns or the strength and endurance of earth ponies, Pegasi have their own advantages. They are generally the fastest and most fit of the three pony races, and are naturally able to manipulate clouds and weather to various degrees.
When someone thinks magic, they immediately think ‘Unicorn’ as well; and not without reason either. All unicorns have magic to varying degrees, so long as their horn is intact, and they can do some incredible things with it. While almost all have access to basic telekinesis, the also have a grasp of spells related to their Cutie Mark; barring rare prodigies whose special talent IS Magic.
From the land of Zebrica, Zebras are an interesting race. They have a connection to the land that rivals that of Earth Ponies, allowing them to craft incredible potions, poisons and medicines. While Zecora of Ponyville has led some to believe that all zebras speak only in rhyme, this is actually a cultural choice and is mostly for those of a certain standing in zebra society.
Farasus 25 bits
A strange and recently discovered species native to Zebrica. They resemble Zebra, yet they have pegasus wings which zebras do not, and seem to have similar abilities to pegasi like zebras do to Earth Ponies. In their home country, they have been both revered as gods, slandered a demons and everything in between; what they really are, nopony seems to know.
Feligryph 25 bits
The most common type of gryphon, they have the forebodies of birds of prey and the hindbodies of felines. Originally created as a cruel joke on ponies, giving a species that could hunt all three tribes with equal ease. However, once again, friendship proved far more powerful than he had expected and the two species eventually reached a friendly truce.
Canigryph 50 bits
A rare type of gryphon with the hindbody of a canine rather than a feline.
Hippogryph 50 bits
A rare type of gryphon with the hindbody of a pony rather than a feline. Contrary to common belief, they are not the result of gryphons and ponies mingling.
Sphinx 50 bits
Sometimes called the gryphons of Zebrica, sphinxes appear as lions or other large cats, with massive, feathered wings. They are amoral predators for the most part, preferring not to live in herbivore society. However, a near universal love of wordplay and riddles makes them quite companionable, so long as they don't feel any urge to eat you.
Diamond Dog 25 bits
A semi-subterranean species that lives on a combination of minerals from gemstones and protein from meat, Diamond Dogs are literally the best diggers in the known world. That said, they have a slightly strained relationship with ponies; what with their slightly monstrous appearance and tendency to trick or coerce ponies into working to find gems for them.
Giraffe 25 bits
A proud race that has long practiced isolationism in the remote parts of Zebrica. They have recently come out of hiding following the war and most actively blame either ponies or dragons (or both) for potentially dooming the world. They practice a very subtle magic that allows them to lightly manipulate the natural magic of the world (something they refer to as Ley Lines) to cause weather effects or cause the ground itself to aid them.
Buffalo 25 bits
Massive and powerful creatures, buffalo are deeply spiritual and proud. Though they lack the magical connection to the land that Earth Ponies boast, they still seem to understand it and how best to work it. There is some talk of magic that allows them to commune with spirits, but unicorns have patently dismissed this claim as nonsense. Currently, the largest buffalo settlement is located within an hour’s walk from Appleloosa and enjoys a truce with the pony town, even engaging in some minor trade with it.
Kirin 50 bits
The offspring of a pony and a dragon, kirins have some of the characteristics of both. While ponies have hair coating their bodies, kirins generally opt for a mane and tail, while their body is coated in scales. Like ponies, they can be of any color imaginable, and for the most part they look like pony-shaped dragons. Normal kirins are similar to earth ponies, with a specialty in tending the ground, and they’re also the only kirins with flame breath.
Aerokirin 50 bits
The kirin response to pegasi, Aerokirins can have either feathered or membranous wings like those of a dragon. They generally stay on land rather than the cloud homes many pegasi enjoy, but they have just as powerful an ability to walk on clouds as their pony counterparts.
Unikirin 50 bits
The kirin answer to unicorns. Like their pony counterparts, they have access to potent magic, at the trade-off of being the physically weakest of the three types. They also seem to have a more aggressive edge to their spells, most specializing in battle related magics or spells that can be adapted as such.
Inukami 75 bits
The Inukami are a dog-like race native to Mane-ji and parts of Neighpon, and have a passing resemblance to the Diamond Dogs. Unlike the Diamond Dogs, they all have access to a few forms of ritual magic; pocket dimensions and one element. An average inukami can open a pocket dimension wherever they want (assuming there isn't already another pocket there) and shape the inside to their liking. Once the dimension is closed, only the creator can open it again, making it great for security. They also have access to one element (earth, air, water, fire) and can utilize it however they wish. Although rare, some Inukami lose their ability to do one of these things, and in the process the other is strengthened. An Inukami with a focus in pocket dimensions can make one big enough to live in, while one who loses this is able to use two elements rather than one.
Minotaur 100 bits
These strange creature seem to have the lower bodies and heads of bulls, and the upper bodies of some form of scaleless dragon. Whether they are actually related in any way to cows and bulls is unknown, as are their origins. However, their strength and desterity are amazing, even if their bipedal stance makes them rather slow and clumsy compared to a pony of similar build.
Changeling 100/250 bits
Another creation of Discord, the Changelings have a more insectoid lifestyle than other creatures. While any being of another race can become the monarch for their species, Changeling queens are designated from birth and all others are forced by their Discordian biology into lives under the Queenlings. However, while they can’t become leaders of their own kind, all changelings have their own abilities, foremost among which is their transformative magic. With only a mental image to work off of, any changeling can impersonate any other creature.
Dragon 250 bits plus Audition
As one of the most feared races on Gaia, dragons have certainly earned their position. They can live for up to five thousand years naturally, and with magic this can be nearly doubled, but the majority don’t bother with the mind-boggling amounts of power that such an extension requires. A fully-grown dragon of two millenia stands easily twenty times taller than a pony, and with their command of both magic and their natural abilities they are a race to be feared.
Time Pony 250 bits plus Audition
A strange race from the isle of Gallopfrey that, though unrelated, highly resembles ponies. They have a unique understanding of Time and Space, even able to manipulate it to a minor degree with magic or their own technology. Most famous among their kind is strange stallion known only as ‘The Doctor’; this madpony and his mysterious blue box can be found mentioned throughout history, often with an equally strange gray mare accompanying him.
Undead Please speak to an admin
Equestria is a big place, and magic permeates every part of it. However, there are some forms of magic that ponies try not to think about, and necromancy is among them. While reanimating the dead is punishable by death, it still rarely happens, and creatures known as Liches are 'born.' The corpse of a living being, a lich is generally immortal, only dying when its' body is destroyed. These creatures are highly regulated, so please speak to an admin before creating one.
A small, tamed creature, such as a cat or dog. The latter can be trained to do basic tasks (fetch the newspaper, etc)
Large Domestic Animal 20
A large, tamed creature, such as a docile leopard or wolf. Small animals that have significant offensive capabilities (attack dogs, etc) also fall into this category.
Wild Animals 25
You've somehow gotten an animal that hasn't lost it's feral nature and is thus far more willing to attack and kill than even a trained creature. Just be sure you're not the one it wants to eat.
Small Magic Creature 25
A lesser faerie or similar, these creatures have some limited magical abilities, which many use to manifest in forms that would naturally be impossible or impractical, such as a dog-sized amoeba.
Large Magic Creature 50
Similar to the above, only with increased size and ability.
The result of a strange mutation from times long forgotten, a strange subspecies of the dragons exists, which have the same physical capabilities of a dragon but none of their intelligence, leading them to be pets or guard creatures for other species. They also have a drastically shortened lifespan, only living about as long as a normal pony. Can not gain the Intelligence modifier.
A rare creature that many consider to be a myth, the Phoenix is considered the pinnacle of magical life. They have the unique ability to restore themselves by incinerating their bodies, and during life have limited control over fire, as well as a complete immunity to same. By restoring themselves when they age a phoenix can be effectively immortal, and have the capability to become as intelligent as a pony after a few centuries. Can not talk at all, The Intelligence modifier still has to be purchased if you want said intelligence.
Somehow, your pet has gained the ability to speak in identifiable sounds and words. Unless the Intelligence modifier is purchased, this is limited to things like 'food', but it's an invaluable perk for any owner who doesn't want to guess at what their companion wants. Can not be applied to phoenixes, parrots do not need to purchase.
This pet has become a character in it's own right, with the ability to think at a level comparable to a pony.
Righto, here's how this works. The admins have a huge list of items and modifiers, including everything else in the mall. Now, when you buy a bag, you get a set number of items chosen at random off of the list. This is the only way to get really high-level equipment, but any purchase is almost guaranteed to have at least one really nice thing in it, and nothing is useless*. A small bag contains five items, none of which will be duplicates.
Medium Bag 50
Ten items, none of which will be duplicates.
Large Bag 100
fifteen items, none of which will be duplicates.
Huge Bag 150
Twenty items, which may be doubled.
Jumbo Bag 200
Twenty-five items, which will be anything that comes off the list, duplicates or not.
Oh yeah, did we mention that bigger bags have a higher chance of getting the really nice stuff?
*Bag may contain a rock. Rocks are pretty useless.
